Sarah Robinson is a proud citizen of the Fort Nelson First Nation and the Saulteau First Nation in Treaty 8 territory. She lives on the west-coast in the Toquaht Nation's small village of Macoah, and is a proud stepmom and auntie.
Sarah is an appointed member of the BC Minister's Advisory Council on Indigenous Women, which advises government on improving Indigenous women’s quality of life. In 2017 she spoke about “Indigenous Women and the Story of Canada” at the #WalrusTalks National Tour kick-off event, and in 2018 she spoke at the re-establishment of the BC Human Rights Commission. Sarah recently developed an Indigenous/Canadian Histories 101 video, as well as a Truth and Reconciliation Personal Action Plan (which is a free resource to guide self-directed learning).
